Disney on Ice

Nana took us to Disney on Ice last night! IT WAS AMAZING!!! I woke up yesterday morning wishing Ava had a really cute outfit to wear. So....I ran to Wal-Mart, picked up some fabric and whipped out an outfit during her nap. Oh yes I did make what she is wearing!!! :) AND...I made it in about 2 1/2 hours!!! If anyone is planning a Disney vacation for this summer, let me know and I will hook you up!!!
Ava just loved the show. Mom and I really enjoyed it, too. The props, costumes, music, lighting, skating, everything was wonderful! I would highly recommend it. We had ring side seats that were awesome. I got some great pictures of the characters. This is how close we were! I was so excited that they let me take my camera in. Ava keeps wanting to look at the pictures from the show. She told me today, "We prolly (probably) need to go back to that show today again mommy." Thank you again Nana! We love you!!!
Mom and I did not color coordinate with Ava on purpose :) But, it did make a cute picture. HA!

Ava got a special light toy that she LOVED!

Ready for Spring and Summer

Ava Jayne is glad that Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner. She is glad to be sporting another outfit created especially for her by none other than...her MOMMY!!!

She is also proud that her flip flops will look even better now that she has her pretty, painted toenails.

Barbie Fishing Hole

Nana told Ava a few weeks ago that she was going to get her a Barbie fishing pole so she could go fishing in Hot Springs. They even looked at them in Target together one day. Ava talked about Nana getting her a Barbie fishing "hole," as she called it, everyday until Nana showed up at our house last week with it. Ava was SO excited. The hard part has been keeping her from breaking it until Nana actually got to take her fishing. On Saturday, we got to go fishing and caught TWO fish. Ava was beyond thrilled! She reeled the fish in all by herself. Such a big girl! Thank you Nana for our fishing adventure and the fishing "hole." We love you!

Easter Lunch

David and Fawn had us all over for lunch after church on Sunday. Ava LOVED playing with her cousins. Abby and Ashley are great babysitters! I got to enjoy my lunch and sit and visit! The Dykes' clan had Ava an Easter basket when we got there. She is still talking about how much fun she had. Thanks Fawn and David for having us! We always enjoy getting to see y'all!

In this picture, Ava was performing all her nursery rhymes for everyone. I just thought she looked so precious (one of those Mommy moments) and I didn't ever want to forget it!

Easter Sunday

We went to church at First Baptist in Nashville on Sunday morning. I always love going back to church there. Blake and I were both baptized in that church. Brother David preached a wonderful sermon and we got to see lots of friends from Nashville. Ava cried pretty much the entire time, I think. They said they had to walk her around outside and let her pick flowers so that she wouldn't be upset. She does great in our church...I guess it was just something different. :( She sure did look pretty though! I LOVED her Easter dress this year!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail!

The Easter Bunny left Ava some special treats!!! She was so excited!!!

Ava's Playhouse

We went to Nashville this weekend for Easter. Ava had a very BIG surprise from Mamaw and Papaw when we arrived...a new PLAYHOUSE! She has played outside in her house all weekend. Thank you Mamaw and Papaw! Ava Jayne is one lucky little girl!
