Fun Days at Home

Blake was off work all last week and most of this week as well. We have been pretty lazy the past three days. It has been so nice having him home with us. We went to the park yesterday afternoon. Here are a few pictures of the fun we have been having. I am going to try to post Christmas pictures soon, too. There are just SO many.

Ava meets SANTA!!!!

My sweet baby LOVES LOVES LOVES her some Santa Claus!!!! Of course the line was forever long. My mom waited for us before we got there and got pretty close to the front, but still Ava started crying before it was her turn and saying, "My turn, My turn!" She walked right up to him and was so excited. Santa's camera was broken when Ava got up there. That was fine with Mommy. I saved twenty bucks! These are the pictures I got with my camera. Santa even read her a book. PRECIOUS!

Ava turns 2!

Here are a few pictures from her birthday party on December 6th. All Ava wanted for her birthday was cupcakes (like Pinkilicious) and balloons!!! And, she got 'em! We had a small party this year with our family. She had a great time and got some fun presents.

Ava went with Blake that morning to pick up the balloons. She was so excited. Blake said she wanted to hold them the whole way home. She did not let them go! HA!

Way to Go Sis!!!

I am so proud of my sister! Last Saturday, Mom and I went to see her run a MARATHON!!! Yes...you heard me right...a MARATHON!!! Yes...that is 26.2 MILES!!! AND...she did it in 5 HOURS AND 10 MINUTES!!! Can you tell how proud I am of her? We got to see her three different times during the race. Each time she was all smiles! She was still smiling when she crossed the finish line. My brother -in-law, Rob, ran the half marathon. AWESOME JOB KERRI AND ROB!!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!

A few more Thanksgiving pics

We had a good Thanksgiving lunch at Mamaw and Papaw's house. Ava made what she called her "turkey hat" at school this week and she wanted to wear it all day on Thursday. She was the cutest little turkey I have ever seen! She really enjoyed playing with the Dykes' cousins this year. She is getting old enough to actually run and play with them. That is fun to watch for Blake and me. I am so sad that I didn't get any pictures of her with Abby, Ashley, Drew and Will. I did get some other cute ones that I wanted to share below.

We got to Nana and Pop's house on Thursday night. We had a big weekend planned with them, but Blake got a stomach virus Thursday night and we ended up coming home Friday morning. We didn't want to spread the bug! I got to enjoy my mom's Thanksgiving supper, but poor Blake didn't. Mom packed us a goodie bag of food to bring home and we have definitely eaten way too much! I need to start a diet asap!

We are now getting all geared up for Christmas!!! Ava LOVES to ride around and look at all the lights on the houses. I now know why people buy those horrible inflatables for their yards (the ones in years past that I have wanted to secretly sneak out in the night and deflate with a pin). Ava LOVES them!!! I hate to admit that a part of me this year is kind of wanting to buy the BIGGEST Mickey Mouse inflatable that pops up and down out of a chimney! Blake (like always) is keeping me grounded on this one. HA!

Happy Birthday Nana!

GS Fest

Our church has a WONDERFUL Fall Festival every year. We went tonight and had THE BEST TIME! Seeing Ava on the carnival rides was one of the highlights of my year! Blake and I thought she would be afraid....OH NO....not our little piggie! She had such a look of determination riding the cars. She thought she was really driving. She told us later, "I went FAST!" She would have gotten on every single ride there if we had let her. We love our little piggie soooo much!

Boo at the Zoo

Ava and I had a fun day together this week. We went to Boo at the Zoo one morning. Most of the carnival rides were closed, but as always Ava enjoyed seeing all of the animals. They had lots of fun decorations set up for Halloween. She LOVES pumpkins this year and they had several set up throughout the zoo. She accidently dropped her juice cup in with the bears!!! Oh no!!! This was very tragic!!! She screamed! She did not want that bear to have her juice. We had to report the incident to the zoo keeper. She is still talking about the bear getting her juice!

Dear Maddie,

Three years ago, I held you in my arms. You weighed two pounds, two ounces and were fourteen inches long. You had ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes. Your little feet were just precious. I can still remember how much it hurt not hearing you cry and not being able to take you home to your pretty pink room we were preparing for you. I will never forget your Daddy getting in the hospital bed with me, cords and all, and us crying together. Even though you are not with us now, you made such an impact on our family. We know you are in Heaven with Jesus and one day we will get to hold you again. We know that you watch over us and your little sister. Madelyne Jayne Young - I miss you. You are so precious to your Mommy!

I am on Blake's computer now because mine has crashed! Once you open it (like I did), then it starts sending it to people from your name. I am so sorry if you have already opened it and your computer is in bad shape, too.

First Day of School

It is Ava's first day of school!!! Well, it is really Mother's Day Out, but we are calling it "school." Please pray that she does well. I am planning to go back to work next Fall, so we are going to start slowly easing our way into it. Right now, it is just one day a week :) Love you all. Hope you have a great day!

Three Mommies after a very relaxing weekend. Three best friends sad to say goodbye. Three precious babies at home waiting on Mommy's kisses. Three awesome hubbies ready for some relief. We had a wonderful time!!! I think we all felt so rejuvenated!
