Valentine's Day 2012

This is one of my first little Pinterest projects I have done. I thought they turned out cute for Ava to take to her friends at school for Valentine's Day. This picture doesn't show what is inside very well. They had graham crackers, heart-shaped marshmallows, and chocolate kisses. "Everyday I like you S'MORE!"

My little Valentine

We have had a great morning! Pink, heart-shaped pancakes and bacon for breakfast, cards and treats!

My three valentines! LOVE them!!!

Some of this week's FUN!

Ava slept in pink sponge rollers this week for the first time. I was worried that she may not sleep in them since they are a little uncomfortable, but she DID! She wanted those curly locks! It was funny, she went to sleep holding her head so still. Usually she is all over the place!

Ready for church with pretty CURLS :)

Blake has been swimming recently for exercise. He took Ava one afternoon. Of course she loved it! She waited so patiently while Daddy swam laps until it was her turn to get in, too.

This Week

We got Ava signed up for T-ball this week. She has to do a candy bar fundraiser to raise money for the league. She is selling 100 candy bars!!! She has enjoyed calling grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and visiting neighbors :) My dear friend, Erin, and her girls came to see us on Monday. Ava was ready for Mrs. Erin as soon as she arrived. She had all of the different types of candy bars lined up, box open, and money envelope ready. I thought it was so funny! (NOTE: not sure what the craziness is above this picture. I had a hard time getting these pics to upload anyway and I'm tired of messing with it.....)

Our four kids together. Growing up, my neighborhood and Erin's were very close. We would meet each other on our bikes in the "woods." It brings tears to my eyes to see our kids playing together. I hope that even though our homes are far away and not separated by just "woods," they will grow up to be good friends.

My little cuties after their bath.

The weather has been warmer than usual for this time of year. We took advantage one day. We had a picnic and playtime at the park.

Five Months Old

Jake is FIVE months old! He weighs 17 pounds! He is a big, fine, happy boy!!! The poor little guy has been pretty sick this month. He has had RSV, double ear infections and pneumonia all at the same time. Thankfully he is on the mend!!! I was a worried Momma for a few days. He is rolling over now. He still LOVES to eat! We've added fruits to his diet. Bananas are his favorite thing to eat. He is not really crazy about peas (he totally gets that from Daddy). He is saying, "MMMMMMMM." And, every now and then, "Momma" comes out :) He is starting to learn to sit up, but is still a little wobbly. He loves his exersaucer!!! He REALLY loves his sister!!! He laughs at her all the time. Here are both my babies at five months old.

Pictures that make me HAPPY

Look Alikes?

Everyone says Jake looks so much like Blake and Ava looks so much like me....I don't really know who they look like, but I do think they favor each other :)

Little Missouri Falls

We took a little road trip one day to Little Missouri Falls. It was so much fun! A beautiful day and a memory I never want to forget!!!

Four Months Old

Jake got a great report at his four month check up. He weighed 15 pounds 5 ounces and was 25 inches long. I started feeding him cereal and vegies at four months. He LOVES to EAT!!! Evidence is in the first picture below. Ha! He can roll from his back to his side. He got an exersaucer from Santa Claus and is doing better at holding his head up on his own. He turned four months old on Christmas day. On Christmas morning last year, we found out we were expecting him. So thankful that God watched over us during my pregnancy and now we have a healthy, 15 pound four month old!

And here is Miss Ava when she was four months old

Better Late than Never I guess....

It seems like I am pretty terrible about blogging this time of year. I remember doing this last year, then playing catch up, then trying to do better. So hopefully the bad blogging is behind me. Now I am playing catch up. And MAYBE I will get better! I am finding it to be much harder to get things done with two kiddos. I got some really good pictures over Christmas that I didn't want to just leave off the blog. My hope is that I will soon get my blog turned into a book for our family to keep and I don't want pieces to be missing. So, here goes the catching up...Merry Christmas!!!!! First stop was Mamaw and Papaw's house!

We came home on Christmas Eve and SANTA CAME!!!!!!! My kids were GOOD this year!

We went to Nana and Pop's on Christmas day. My mom's sister, my Aunt Jayne, and all of her family came that night. It was so fun for us to all be together.
