Most Impressed

Ava has really been wanting to draw and color a lot lately. I have been so impressed with how well she is doing. She is starting to color in the lines and pay more attention to what she is doing. Tonight she said, "I draw a circle for the face. Two eyes. A nose and a mouth." I look down and this is what I saw. Then I prompted her to draw the ears and the hair. She put them right where they should go. I was very impressed!!!! Of course I said, "Don't erase it! Don't touch it! Let Mommy run and get my camera!!!" I got a video of her drawing, too. She later put a bow in her hair and a kleenex (ha!) over her face. "So she can blow her nose," she said. Precious! I may try to upload the video another time.




Not sure why these pictures are going sideways. Very frustrating! My blog is doing CRAZY things lately. Any other bloggers having problems?!?!

Sprinkler Park with Cousins

We have been to Collierville a few times to visit Aunt Sissy (my sister) and her family, and will be going back again next weekend to celebrate Granny Tinsley's birthday there. Ava LOVES her cousins! They fight like brothers and sisters, but they really do love spending time together. Here are some pictures from one of our visits. Mom, Kerri and I took the kids to an awesome sprinkler park. It was BLAZING HOT that day, but we had fun anyway.

Brittan and Banks

We went to stay a few nights with Andrea, Brittan and Banks a few weeks ago. I didn't take as many pictures as I wish I had, but here are a few. The kids had a great time! Ava talks about her friends, Brittan and Banks, all the time now :) They painted toenails...

Red Mustang

Nana and Pop bought a new car!!!! It's a two-door, tan interior, fully loaded, red Mustang convertible and it handles well in their big backyard. It is perfect for beginner drivers and the smallest of passengers. It makes numerous trips to pretend grocery stores and Magic Springs. It goes in forward AND reverse!!! Passengers can turn the radio on and off. So much FUN!!!!
