Fun Day

Blake had to make a work trip to Nashville today, so Ava and I tagged along and went to visit my grandparents. I have always called them Granny and Grandaddy, but Ava has decided she will call them Ginny and Good-dad. My Grandaddy is 85 and Granny will be 80 in September. I am so blessed to still have them in my life and they are still doing so well.

When the weather is nice, Grandaddy can most likely be found at the golf course. He can shoot his age and better on some days. Today he took Ava for a ride on the golf cart and she got to drive! I remember him taking me when I was a little girl.

When we got home this afternoon, Ava and I took advantage of the nice weather! We went for a walk and Ava got to take her baby along. It was precious. Enjoy the pictures and the video!

It's not a failure when...

She has no idea that her Daddy built her the smallest, ugliest snowman in the neighborhood. Or...

That her Mommy mistakenly drew the face on the stomach!

She had no clue and LOVED that her snowman was wearing her tutu and of course, her beach hat!

UPDATE: After Blake read this, he asked that I please add that the snow was not right for a snowman. By today, the top layer was solid ice and the snow would not roll. He WOULD have built her the largest and finest in the neighborhood if he had the right snow.

An Unexpected Treat

Blake and I woke up this morning to a VERY unexpected surprise...SNOW! And, lots of it! We think we have gotten close to SIX INCHES! We watched the news last night before bed. The forecasters got this one way wrong. Our county was not supposed to get any. I told Ava that we had to get on lots of clothes so we could go out and play in it. This is how she came out of her room. Things she felt like she would need include; her beach hat, two pair of tights on top of her beach hat, and of course her pink tutu! HA! She loves to dress up right now. It is precious!

She liked eating the snow!

Layla even got to come out to the front yard and join in on the fun! Blake would throw snowballs and she would catch them. She LOVES the snow, too. Below is a video I took. The snow was beautiful! It looked like snowballs falling from the sky. I will post more pictures later. This is just a sneak peak. It has turned to rain now, so I hope it doesn't ruin our fun. Blake says if the rain will stop, he is going to go build Ava the biggest snowman in the neighborhood.

Funny pictures from this week

Ava still gets her paci at nap time and bed time. I know....I know....I should have taken that away about a year ago, but I haven't! Anyway, sometimes she sneaks into her room and gets it out of her bed. This is how I found her once this week. With four of her favorites - her rain boots, nursery rhymes book, Hip Hop and paci. To me she had this look like, "Mama, don't even try to mess with me right now."

She LOVES to brush her teeth!

Today has been a cold, rainy day. We went outside to check the mail and she needed her "rain," what she calls her umbrella, and her boots of course.
