Three Months Old

Jake is three months old!!!! He is wearing six months clothes and growing way too fast! He is still the BEST baby!!! He smiles and laughs all the time! He sleeps through the night...eight hours on average. I told you he is GOOD! He is getting stronger and holding his head up on his own. He doesn't love his car seat. His favorite thing is still to swing and be talked to. Oh yes, and his THUMB! The boy LOVES his thumb. He LOVES his Sissy, too.

Halloween 2011

We had a FUN-filled, CANDY-filled Halloween!!! I had to share this outfit I made Miss Priss. I also made Jake's ghost shirt :)

Daddy and Ava carved her pumpkin. Blake was thankful she didn't request a Dora pumpkin this year!

Sweet Boy

I guess this is video week on my blog! I need to be putting Halloween pictures on here, but I wanted to share videos instead. This sweet boy makes my heart smile. I am just in love :) Halloween pictures coming soon...hopefully! These videos are better than Halloween pictures anyway.

Ava is learning to READ!

Ava is becoming VERY interested in letters, sounds, words, etc. She started preschool this year and we have been doing LOTS of reading at home as well. She LOVES books and one of her favorite things to do is listen to a story. Here she is reading her first book. I am so proud of her!

Pumpkin Patch

Ava's class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch today. Jake and I went with her. Jake slept through it all. Ava and I had a great time! She picked out a pumpkin for Daddy to carve. Pictures of that will be coming soon. I enjoyed getting to meet her friends from school that I hear so much about and getting to visit with their moms. This is Ava with her friend Eden.

Two Months Old

Jake is two months old!!! Here is what he has been up to this month. He went to the zoo for the first time...
Sissy was our guide :)
He LOVES to swing and has been doing LOTS of it.
This is his favorite place! I love it!!!!!
He loves playing on his gym mat.
He likes his bath now.
He still does lots of sleeping...

He has gotten lots of kisses from Sissy.
He has even given her a few. I love these precious babies!!!
He smiles a lot now! Melts my heart!
He played a little tea party with Sissy.
And he went to church for the first time.

Scrapper Pride

A dear friend of ours from Nashville, Mrs. Becky Steel, sent my kids the CUTEST gifts today. I just had to share. Blake was the Scrapper quarterback and I was a cheerleader in high school. Here is lil Miss Scrapper cheerleader...

One Month Old

Jake is one month old!!! I really can't believe it! He is such a sweet, good boy! He has not been up to much this month. He sleeps most of the time. When he is awake, he is usually very content and looks around. He likes his paci, but doesn't just have to have it all the time. He LOVES to swing. He has started smiling some and it just makes me melt!!! Ava and I were gone yesterday to the mall and Jake stayed home with Daddy. Blake said he laughed for the first time. Blake was playing with his arms and Jake chuckled at him. I can't wait to see that!!! He is eating every three hours during the day and he wakes up twice, sometimes only once, in the night to eat. I took pictures of Ava each month of her first year, so I am going to do the same with Jake. I thought it would be fun to compare his pictures to hers.

Trip to Nashville

This week we decided to take a quick trip to Nashville. Blake was working in southern Arkansas and the kids and I made the trip with him. We stayed with Mamaw and Papaw. This was Jake's first overnight trip away from home and he did great! Papaw surprised Ava with her own set of golf clubs complete with pink bag, hat and glove!!! SHE WAS SO EXCITED!!!!! I think we may have a little golfer! She is pretty good for a three year old and really enjoys playing. We surprised my Granny and Grandaddy Tinsley while we were there. They had not met Jake yet. It was so neat to surprise them. I will never forget their faces. On Thursday, my grandparents and I took the kids out to the golf course so Ava could play a hole. I got some good pictures from our visit.
