After six days and nights, Blake and I got a phone call to pack our bags for the hospital again. We would be getting to "room in" with Jake that night in the step down unit and the next day he would be going HOME!!! We were thrilled! It all happened very quickly. On Tuesday, Jake had all the tubes, lines, IV in his head, etc. and on Wednesday he was TUBE FREE!! We were just shocked and overjoyed when we saw him. We decided it would be best for just me to stay with Jake, so Blake could stay home with Ava. He ate well that night, was able to keep his temperature up, and breathe well on his own which all meant we would in fact get to take him home! He was one week old when we brought him home. Saying that big sister, Ava, was excited is an understatement. Here she is holding her brother for the first time.

Let's go HOME!!!
